Seems to me winning is exactly what they're trying to do but it's difficult to do when you're fighting out of a hole from the start of the race. He was looking really good until Truex knocked him up the track and cost him a ton of track position. And just because McMurray's car was damaged didn't mean he wasn't faster than Junior was at the end.
Mike Davis really summed all this negative nonsense up for me yesterday on the DMR podcast.
