Dillon qualified 4th for the Dega race last year. I think Richard spent a lot of money. They said he added 18-20 engineers this year to RCR. If so that would explain a lot about the pole. I have a feeling they have been working on that qualifying for over a year...
Don't know why they didn't do that when Harvick was there. DEI needed more engineers as well, but we all know how that turned out...
