So you would rather a drug addict race? A false negative means a drug addict is racing (a la Aaron Fike). Mayfield will get money if he can prove the tests were wrong. He has and had no chance of winning anyway. This was all about money, which he can get back. Plus there is a good chance he will get more money from NASCAR, if he proves his case, than he could have ever made with that little team. This might be the best thing to happen to Mayfield financially and it would hurt NASCAR financial..... a win/win.
