You are talking about you/me vs a sports personality. Mayfield's rep is entirely about money just as the reason his drug test is public knowledge is because of what he does. Mayfield makes money off of his reputation.
And I would argue that the people who really know you, wouldn't believe something false about you. And you probably don't make millions on your reputation. Mayfield does.
And if Mayfield truely cared about his rep, he would be putting out his own drug tests to show he is clean. Arguing the testing is flawed and unfair doesn't mean you are clean.
