We have no idea who would have won the points under the old system. The 48 is notorious for using the races just prior to Richmond as a test session, and they dont typically run well. They wouldn't do that if they valued every single point under a full season title instead of the Chase. How many times have we seen the announcers say, the 48 hasn't been running well of late, then the chase starts and they are on fire. They threw away points testing and learning a few things for the last 10 races.
Sorry but you can't say who would have won under the old points system, not everyone is trying to gain the most points in every single race with the chase like they did under the old format. That's why it SUCKS!
