Earnhardt gets his 400th top-10 in Dover Sept. 26

8th today in the MBNA Gold 400.
By lap 25, Earnhardt was up to 27th. On lap 70 he has moved into 21st. By lap 100 Dale was
up to 13th. Soon after, Earnhardt brook into the top-10, where he stayed during most of
the rest of the race. Around lap 170, Earnhardt was in the top-5 shortly. He later got
lapped, and finished 8th.
"We had a good race car all day long," Earnhardt said.
"We came back from Happy Hour and made a bunch of adjustments last night. It was a
little tight in the center, but the guys made great pit stops all day. That's another
top-10 finish, and considering where we started, we had a good day. We need to get a
little better. We want to run in the top-5 and be in contention to win, but that didn't
happen today."
